February begins with World Radio Day, continued biblical studies, special radio features, devotional programs, and heartfelt listener messages, celebrating radio as a global voice of faith and connection.
We have begun the second month of the year, February, filled with expectations for everything that awaits us in 2026. This month is even more meaningful as, on February 13th, we celebrate World Radio Day, established by UNESCO. It is a special opportunity to honor everyone who makes radio a powerful instrument of communication, faith, and hope.
Within our programming, we continue our study of the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 5, reflecting on the Beatitudes. This study was prepared and taught by Allen Dutton Jr., who has extensive experience in biblical teaching. Listeners can also find other studies led by him in our app.
On Sundays, we move forward with our series on the Lord’s Supper, based on the book Messages for the Lord’s Supper by Ranieri Vieira, offering deeper and meaningful reflections on this essential Christian theme.
In the segment Ondas Curtas (Shortwave), Danilo Nonato and Antônio Ribeiro da Motta share relevant information about Mexican radio stations and holiday productions. We also obtained a special audio clip from RAI Radio in Italy, featuring narration from the 2018 Euro Cup, a tournament that brings together national football teams from across Europe.
During the week, our collaborator Gisele Stefan continues to record and send the Espaço Mulher (Women’s Space) programs. These devotionals are especially directed toward women, addressing the challenges and opportunities of the new year.
We also continue recording texts written by Andy Baker, president of World Christian Broadcasting, titled Lesson Pray and Prayer, which offer short lessons accompanied by moments of prayer. In addition, we are recording the series Encounters with Jesus, produced by Gayle Crowe.
On Sundays, Beliza Patrícia has produced special programs focused on vacations, reflecting the school holiday season in Brazil, which runs from December through the first week of February.
We remain in close contact with our listeners and frequently receive meaningful messages that deserve recognition. One such message came from Bruno Lima, from Northeastern Brazil, via WhatsApp:
“Hello, friends at Radio Palavra Alegre! I want to report that the signal on 9765 is coming in very well here in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. I would like to thank you for the preaching of God’s Word. I have really enjoyed your reflections on the Lord’s Supper, and the programming has been wonderful.”
Another highlight is an email from Osmar, who wrote:
“Hello! I am a listener in Brazil on the 31m shortwave band. Congratulations on the great programming. In addition to the Christian content, which is the main focus, you also present programs for radio enthusiasts. I am an English and Portuguese teacher living in São Paulo, Brazil.”
