WCB and KNLS celebrated their anniversary in July with gratitude, messages, recordings, giveaways, Bible studies, and tributes to fathers.
Every year, July is a very special month because we celebrate another anniversary of WCB and KNLS. It’s an important milestone in our history, remembering where it all began and celebrating where we are today, 42 years later. God has been good and merciful, and we can only thank our entire team, collaborators, board, and donors. Praise God!
Speaking of celebrations, during WCB’s anniversary week, I received an audio message from our listener Rafael Rosa, from Rio de Janeiro, and he said:
“Today is WCB’s anniversary. From me, Rafael Rosa, I wish WCB a happy anniversary! This blessed and wonderful radio station has brought a Christian message that is always important to all of us. Congratulations to everyone who makes WCB exist, both at KNLS, Madagascar, and also in Brazil—in short, the entire team. I will continue following the programming here.”
It’s always good to receive emails and messages via WhatsApp, with words that inspire and encourage us to continue our work of sharing God’s love.
As part of our programming, we continue recording messages: The Lord’s Supper, based on the book Messages for the Lord’s Supper by Raniere Vieira. This reflection airs every Sunday.
I’ve also been recording introductions and news for one of our segments, Radio DX, that airs every Saturday. This program is dedicated to radio listeners, featuring audio and historical content on shortwave radio. In the last program of this segment, we explored the history of the WCB with Antonio Argolo.
This segment was presented by our collaborator Danilo Nonato for several years, but in recent months Danilo had to take a leave of absence for personal reasons. We are praying for him and his family.
We are currently assisted by the collaboration of Antonio Ribeiro da Motta, from São Paulo, Southeast Brazil, and Antonio Argolo, from Bahia, Northeast Brazil.
We continue translating and recording Andy Baker’s text, Prayer Lesson and Prayers, as well as the translations and recordings of Gayle Crowe’s Encounters with Jesus series.

Our listeners are very excited about these promotions!
We’ve also developed campaigns on our social media to encourage people to have personal Bible studies. These campaigns target those who want to learn more about the Bible, and to achieve this, we rely on the help of some brothers and sisters willing to preach the gospel.
During the month of August, we will continue with the study of the book of Mark with Allen Dutton Jr. This study began in the last weeks of July and will continue for a few more months within our programming.
Finally, unlike the United States, August is Father’s Day in Brazil, so we want to congratulate all fathers on their day—not only here in Brazil but all over the world.
Congratulations, dads! May we all be examples of Jesus and instruct our children in the way of Christ, always persevering and never giving up. Congratulations!!!
