Rádio Palavra Alegre celebrates 7 years with faith, family reflections, children’s missions, and global listener stories.
We celebrated another anniversary of radio in Brazil, and for five Saturdays we presented a special program, sharing stories about the assembly and creation of the Rodeador Transmission Park in Brasília.
Last month, we also held a raffle for our listeners. A radio set, two shirts, a book about faith, a Bible, and ten pens were raffled off.
The winner of the radio was Márcia Medeiros, a listener from southern Brazil.
In our daily programming, we continued the series on the Book of Mark, hosted by Allan Dutton Jr., who presented an overview and a chapter-by-chapter study, emphasizing the most relevant facts and topics.
In the Women’s Section, we featured Fernanda Silva with a daily devotional, and now we also have Gisele Stefan, who shares reflections based on the Bible.
September was marked by special appearances focusing on the theme of Family.
Paulo Rodrigues, our collaborator from the South, brought reflections on “The True Family of God.”
On Sundays, we continue with the series “The Lord’s Supper,” based on the book Messages for the Supper by Raniere Vieira.
We received a beautiful comment from Bruno Lima, from Northeast Brazil, who wrote:
“I’m really enjoying the reflections on the Lord’s Supper. The messages from Hebrews were also wonderful for the glory of our great God.”
In the Children’s Segment, Beliza has been addressing topics about Missions, showing how even children play an important role in spreading the Gospel. She explains what missions are and what characteristics a missionary has, using simple and fun language that reaches the little ones.
On Saturdays, we continue receiving contributions from Danilo Nonato, Antonio Ribeiro da Motta (São Paulo), and Antonio Argolo (Bahia) in the Radio DX segment.
In this space, we talk about shortwave radios, historical audio, and the latest news from the DX world.
We have also received many messages from Brazil and abroad. One of them came from our friend and listener Carlos Avilla from Argentina, who shared in his email:
“I’ve been a radio amateur for 30 years and have always enjoyed listening to shortwave since I was a child. I have an old Mamaronek tube receiver from the 1950s that still works.
About two years ago, I discovered through a friend that it was possible to tune in to radio stations again.
After so many years, I started listening to shortwave stations once more.
I have several receivers and even built my own Galena radio — a regenerative receiver with a single transistor.
I would greatly appreciate your QSL and the opportunity to share it with my students, many of whom already listen to shortwave and some who are now amateur radio operators.”
Finally, this September, the Portuguese broadcast of Rádio Palavra Alegre celebrated another anniversary — seven years on the air!
We are grateful for the countless blessings received from the Lord over these years.
May God be praised every day!
🎉 Congratulations, Rádio Palavra Alegre and Portuguese broadcasting! 📻
