Celebrate September with Rádio Palavra Alegre: giveaways, special programs, and messages of faith honoring Brazil’s radio and independence!
The month of radio’s anniversary in Brazil and also the country’s Independence Day.
That’s right, on September 7th, we celebrate two very important dates.
On September 7th, 1922, the first official broadcast aired, and it took place during the centennial celebration of Independence.
Because it’s a very special month in Brazil, we decided to run this promotion for our listeners, giving away a few items, including:
10 personalized pens
2 Rádio Palavra Alegre shirts
2 Bible study books
1 shortwave radio
To participate in the giveaway, our listeners need to:

During this month, we will have a special series on our Saturday programming, as part of the Rádio DX segment, about the inauguration of Parque do Rodeador, an important radio broadcasting center in Brazil, built on the outskirts of Brasília, Brazil’s capital.
This series was produced by EBC (Empresa Brasil de Comunicação) and created with the help of our collaborator Antonio Ribeiro da Mota from São Paulo, with introductions by Danilo Nonato from Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais.
Our programming will include special messages aimed at:
Families
The Christian home
And how to be husbands and wives who honor God
We will also continue the series on Mark with Allan Dutton Jr., which airs Monday through Friday.
We will feature the series “Alliances of God”, where Nilton Barreto discusses the difference between the New and Old Testaments and how Jesus fulfilled the law.
We will also continue with the series “Messages for Communion”, based on the book by Ranieri Vieira, which airs every Sunday.
We continue to receive numerous emails, letters, and text messages via WhatsApp.
This month, we received messages from several countries, such as:
Germany
The Philippines
China
Argentina
Morocco
India
And others
I’d like to highlight the email I received from our listener Pedro Vinicius from northeastern Brazil, specifically the state of Bahia. He said:
“Good morning, friends of Rádio Palavra Alegre.
My name is Pedro Vinicius Santana, and I live in Vitória da Conquista, in southwestern Bahia, Brazil.
I’m a journalism student and passionate about radio, a profession I intend to pursue.
In my spare time, I find time to listen to radio stations from Brazil and abroad with my radio receivers.
I’m sending my reception report, which I made early Sunday evening, on Rádio Palavra Alegre’s shortwave band, at 9,765 kHz.”
Finally, I want to wish everyone a great September, and may God continue to bless us in everything we do.
God bless you.
