Congratulations Palavra Alegre for your 6th anniversary. God is good and we have seen his goodness throughout these 6 years of broadcasting in Portuguese. During this time, we have lived and experienced the good and pleasant word of God, sown to the world. We receive daily messages of encouragement from our listeners through various media such as WhatsApp, text messages, e-mail, and other media of communication.
One example was the message written by our dear listener Antonio Argolo, who said on his Facebook: Palavra Alegre has given a new revamped to its broadcasts in Portuguese through Short Waves. I really like the religious programming and the variety of themes presented, which is a difference from other stations of its kind. WCB broadcasts in Portuguese to Brazil on Short Waves, 21 UTC and 22 UT, 9765 KHz.
In fact, this October, Rádio Palavra Alegre completes 6 years of Brazilian Service. The station has created a new concept of religious programming with unique music and messages, as well as social services related to everyday life.
During the month of October, I had the opportunity to travel to the United States, where I had the pleasure of spending the day with our team in Franklin. On that day, I was able to share in person how we have developed our broadcast in Portuguese, as well as our plans for the future.
On that occasion, I was also fortunate to meet Bryan Basham, WCB’s Executive Vice President, who has been doing an incredible job over the past year. In addition to Bryan, I also spent a good amount of time with Sue Ewing, Andy Baker and Gayle Crowe, and I had the chance to see a good part of our team in Franklin again.
I have a lot to thank everyone I spent time with on this trip, especially FH Gates, who has supported our work here in Brazil from the beginning and is always ready to help.
Thanks to the entire team at WCB, KNLS, Madagascar World Voice and finally to our president Andy Baker and Gayle for believing in the work on shortwave here in Brazil.
Finally, I want to wish everyone a great November and also a Happy Thanksgiving to all, may we be truly grateful to our good God for his wonders and care for all of us.
